The Petroleum Technology Research Centre in conjunction with Sask Power hosted a delegation from SANEDI, UMkhanyakude Local House of Traditional Leaders, UMkhanyakude District Municipality, UMhlabuyalingana and Big5 Hlabisa Local Municipality. SACCCS through its Stakeholder Engagement component has  established a Pilot School Programme (PSP) to conduct outreach activities for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Educators and Learners. European cooperation on carbon capture and storage

The first steps in realising a European CO2 transport and storage system have been taken today by Equinor and its partners of the Northern Lights project. The Norweigan multinational energy company, along with its partners Shell and Total, have signed preliminary agreements with seven European companies to develop value chains in carbon capture and storage (CCS).

Equinor, Shell and Total, are studying the possibilities for developing CO2 storage on the Norwegian continental shelf.
